解放初期，這條河上航行的船只大多是采砂船，河流兩岸的居民在建造房屋時也會來到河中央進行采砂，久而久之，這條河就得名“大沙河”。現在這里不僅沿河種植了紫花風鈴木、藍花楹等喬木花叢，還建立了水岸看臺、漫步綠道、賽艇中心等觀景游玩設施。
At the beginning of the liberation, most of the boats sailing on the river were sand dredgers. The residents living on both sides of the river would also come to dredge sand when they built houses. Over time, the river was named"Dasha River".
Nowadays, you can enjoy beautiful arbor plants along the river, such as handroanthus impetiginosus and jacaranda mimosifolia. There are also lots of amusement facilities, such as waterfront grandstand, green-way and rowing club.
